Hayk Mkrtchyan

Enough of living at the cost of losses. From now on, we have to live in debt to our country, to create a COUNTRY TO LIVE in for our children.

Hayk Mkrtchyan was born on June 24, 1985, in Yerevan.

In 2002, he graduated from the Yerevan "Anania Shirakatsi Seminary" International Scientific Educational Complex.

In 2005, he studied political behavior and analysis at the summer school of Charles University in Prague.

In 2006, he was awarded a special commemorative medal from YSU for his achievements in student life.

In 2008, he graduated from Yerevan State University, Faculty of International Relations, with a master's degree in political science.

From 2006 to 2011, he worked in several Armenian television companies as an editor and screenwriter.

2011-2012, he worked as a social worker at the "Vardenis Neuropsychological Boarding House" SNOC.

From 2012 to 2019, he worked at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, focusing on the rights of the elderly, persons with disabilities, children, and individuals facing challenging life circumstances.

In 2017, he was awarded a special commendation and a commemorative medal by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia for his "Creative work".

From 2019 until now, he has been serving as an expert consultant for several local and international public and private organizations. His expertise lies in the implementation of essential programs and services for individuals with disabilities, as well as in monitoring social and health services.

In 2020-2021, he worked as an advisor to the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and led multidisciplinary groups to assess the needs of individuals requiring prosthetics during the 44-day war.

From 2021 to 2023, he worked as a national expert on services provided to individuals with disabilities and other marginalized social groups. He was involved in programs with various UN agencies, including the UN Development Program and UN Children's Fund.

In 2022, to conduct visible and effective human rights protection activities in Armenia, he was invited to the world conference of human rights defenders held in Dublin, the capital of the Republic of Ireland.

Since 2022, he has been serving as the president of the Armenian Association of Medical Specialists.

Conducted about three dozen seminars and numerous training sessions on various social issues at the request of local and international organizations.

He is an independent expert of the Public Council on Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities under the RA Human Rights Defender.

He is an independent expert from the public observation group that monitors the SNOCs providing care services for children, the elderly, and persons with disabilities within the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs system in the Republic of Armenia.

He is a member of the "Country to Live" party.

He is a member of the political council of the "Country to Live" party.

He is married and has one son.
