Karen Malkhasyan was born in 1978 in Gyumri.
In 1995, he graduated from Gyumri Al. Secondary School No. 1, named after Shirvanzade.
In 2002, he graduated from "Progress" University of Gyumri with a major in law and was awarded a bachelor's degree.
In 2011, he graduated from the Academy of Public Administration of the Republic of Armenia with a specialization in and was awarded a master's degree in law.

2002-2006: Worked as a lawyer at "Rubrus" LLC․
2006-2007: Worked as a lawyer at the regional center of the State Social Insurance Fund of the Republic of Armenia in Gyumri.
2007-2008: Worked at the regional center of the State Social Insurance Fund of the Republic of Armenia in Gyumri as a chief specialist-lawyer.
2008-2018, he worked as a chief specialist (lawyer, consultant) at the Gyumri Regional Social Security Department of the State Social Security Service of the Republic of Armenia.
2018-2019 Advisor to the Chief Specialist at the Gyumri Regional Department of the State Social Security Service.
2019-2021 Head of the Gyumri Regional Department of the State Social Security Service.
2021 April-November, Director of the Gyumri Regional Center of the Unified Social Service.
2021 since November, I have been the head of the Gyumri community council for the "Country to Live" faction.
Since January 2022, he has been working at the Tourism and Urban Development Fund (TUF), where he is responsible for government relations.
On April 22, 2023, he was elected as a member of the political council of the "Country to Live" party.
He is married and has three children.
